Change of Speaker for Saturday, May 23, 10:00 Branch Meeting

One thing genealogists learn early is how to be flexible: if you don’t find great-grandfather in Dorset, look in the next county over.

The same applies to societies. Unfortunately, Duncan Jamieson, who was to speak to us about Cataraqui Cemetery in Kingston, is dealing with a family emergency. So instead, Nancy Cutway will present a talk deferred from last year: The Comptons of Warwickshire and Canada: A Primer on Search Challenges.

Same time, same place: either at the Seniors Centre, 56 Francis St, Kingston or via Zoom. If you’ve already registered, nothing has changed. If you still need to pre-register for the Zoom version of the meeting, please use https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/oy8cg2w-QfKylfDDnIzehQ

For those who remember the days BC — before COVID — when we used to start each meeting with a Short Take before the main event, we’re restoring that practice, too. Joyce Fingland will open proceedings with a five-minute talk about preserving family photographs in photobooks.

See you Saturday, May 23 at 10:00 a.m.
