November 15, 2008— Janice Nickerson, President of Upper Canada Genealogy, spoke about “Old Religious Newspapers: Their Value to Genealogists”.

October 18, 2008— Barb Bonner spoke about her research into “Two Wolfe Island Families” – the Grimshaws and the Staleys.

September 20, 2008— “I Have All This Data, Now What? Organizing and Displaying Genealogical Information”. Two members discussed various systems of filing and organizing their genealogical documents. Two other members displayed several interesting ways to show genealogical findings to family members.

May 10, 2008— Nancy Cutway demonstrated “Online Genealogy: Dealing With Databases”.

April 19, 2008-– Ineta Skepple spoke about “Publishing My Family History”.

March 15, 2008— Our celebration of Kingston Branch OGS’s 35th anniversary included a Silent Auction of materials of genealogical interest.

February 16, 2008— Jane Miller and Stephanie Stone spoke about “Getting Lost in London But Finding Our Ancestors Anyway”. They highly recommend the series of research guides available free from the London Metropolitan Archives.

January 19, 2008— Dr. Richard Bailey, Queen’s Department of History, spoke about his genealogical research: “Stand in Their Moccasins: Bishop George Holmes of Athabasca.”
