Please join the Kingston and District Branch of the United Empire Loyalists’ Association of Canada (UELAC) on the fourth Saturday of February, April, September, and November, from 1:00 PM to 2:30PM for their regular Branch meeting and presentation.
On 24 April 2025, Cheryl Levy will talk on the experiences of some of the Loyalists and settlers who lived in the American colonies during the Revolutionary War.
Those who were involved in the American Revolution came from many backgrounds.
British soldiers fought to defend the King and maintain British rule in the colonies. Some colonists fought to preserve their way of life, whether settlers just grateful for a chance at a new life in a new world, or members of established families with deep roots in America. Some embraced a new idea: self-rule, independent from the restrictions of British rule. Many merely wanted to remain neutral and just survive their present troubles.
These meetings will be held at St. Paul’s Anglican Church on Queen Street, Kingston. Please enter the Parish Hall off of Montreal Street.
Those unable to attend in person are welcome to participate by Zoom.
