16 January 2021 – Dawn Kelly and Carol Ufford gave a joint presentation, “The Bachelorette New France (Les Filles à Marier et Les Filles du Roi): Bigamy, Incest, Witchcraft and Murder.” They explained about these groups of young women sent from France to marry soldiers and settlers, and how to find their records.

20 February 2021 – Patty McGregor spoke on “The World War One Letters of George Gallie Nasmith: A Genealogical Adventure.” She described what happened after her mother purchased a box of about 275 letters at an auction.
20 March 2021 – Mike More, Coordinator of TONI for OGS, told us about The Ontario Name Index – what it is, how to use it, and how branches can contribute to its growth.
17 April 2021 – Mags Gaulden spoke about “The Power of DNA.” She covered several sub-themes: the Power of Identity, the Power of Investigative Genetic Genealogy, the Power of DNA Medical Information, and the Power of Removing Brick Walls.

15 May 2021 – Joanne Stanbridge, Genealogy and Local History Librarian for Kingston Frontenac Public Library, gave a video tour through the second floor of the Central Branch Library since its major renovation in 2019. Our branch library is also housed there.
19 June 2021 – Dawn Kelly and Carol Ufford gave us a second presentation on interesting stories found in early Quebec records: “Murder and Mayhem / Settlers and Sinners / Colonists and Criminals – More Thrilling Stories from New France.”

18 September 2021 – Jane MacNamara spoke about “Records of Migration and Settlement at the Archives of Ontario.” She graciously makes a handout on the subject available at her website https://wherethestorytakesme.ca/ — click on “Lectures and Classes” across the top, then “Lecture Notes” in the left-hand column.
16 October 2021 – Elise C. Cole spoke on “Canadian Copyright and the Family Historian.” She provided clear information about copyright as it affects material we may want to use in a family history book, and when we would need to ask permission of the copyright holder.
20 November 2021 – Paul Van Nest spoke on “Remembering My Cousin and his Family: Bomber Command in World War II.” He told us of his oldest cousin, Glenn Wesley Brooks, a rear-gunner in the RCAF who died at 21 years of age.
